Community Connections

Aspen Moon Farm regularly makes donations to Food Banks as well as non-profit organizations that work to promote equity and food access for all. We regularly host school tours and donate to local causes that support youth, mental health, and the arts. The farm has been awarded grants for soil health and carbon sequestration to support our efforts to be good stewards of the land under our care.

Read on to learn more about Aspen Moon Farm's Community Connections!

Aspen Moon Farm hosts school tours whenever we can fit them in :)

Students come to the farm to get some hands-on experience and learn about the field of agriculture. We love teaching the next generations about sustainable and regenerative local agriculture!

Community Food Share’s mission is to eliminate hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties through engagement, collaboration, and leadership.

Aspen Moon Farm donates produce and unclaimed CSA shares weekly to CFS. Their staff tell us that our produce is some of the best that they offer to their patrons.

With help from MAD Agriculturein April 2024 Aspen Moon Farm purchased and planted 170 native trees and shrubs to provide windbreaks, carbon sequestration, and habitat for our furred and feathered friends. We are proud recipients of the Zero Foodprint Grant, which helped fund this project.

We planted 100 bare-root natives, and 70 more mature specimens, some up to 7' tall. 4 types of evergreens, 3 kinds of pines, and 2 types of spruces- all native to Colorado!

Aspen Moon Farm is happy to host seasonal Farm Dinners that are put on by Meadowlark.

Meadowlark plans and makes the meals, local farms provide produce, and a farm provides the venue space!

A note: Meadowlark takes seat reservations during a 24-hour lottery period. Check their website for all the details!
